Review: 'Envisage'
'What Tomorrow Might Mean (Mini Album)'

-  Album: 'What Tomorrow Might Mean'
-  Genre: 'Rock'

Our Rating:
Envisage are a group of young lads out of East London who write passionate, beer-swilling, loud British indie rock with infectious enthusiasm. This mini album is all very full on; the music is well written, catchy and upbeat, if a little raw, but there's definitely plenty here to get excited about.

A glance at their Myspace page shows they’re not short of fans and their lo-fi hand-held music videos are well crafted and really drill home what the music is about; friends, beer, good times and the city they love.

The band are clearly heavily influenced by the mid-late nineties brit-rock movement, with a sound not unlike early Oasis but with the enthusiasm and hard-rocking sensibilities of Nirvana or The Sex Pistols.

Whilst the release itself is a little rough around the edges, for a debut release there’s a lot here, the band clearly love what they do and I would imagine they put on a storming, lager-soaked live show. I’ll be keeping an eye on these guys and I’d suggest you do too!
