Review: 'its a buffalo'
'marbles / belt me in the back'

-  Label: 'Akoustik Anarkhy Recordings'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '17th November 2008'-  Catalogue No: 'aAw/039'

Our Rating:
this grammatically challenged manchester band want their name to be written in lower case with no apostrophe so in this spirit ill dispense with punctuation for this review on the equally eccentrically spelt record label which singer ben says is about the lack of stimulation sitting on your arse day to day brings so taps into a state of mind that we will all be familiar with and which is rendered here with a sing along chorus about losing marbles and a gorgeous african pop style jangly guitar riff that hints at the territory explored so successfully by yankee counterparts vampire weekend and is destined to get any pub crowd worth its salt on its feet and chanting along while the b side is calld belt me in the back and continues in the shouty spirit which might be a bit samey if applied throughout their debut album dont be scared which is due out in spring of 2009 but still the band make a rousing noise all the same so good luck to them
