Our Rating:
This doesn’t do anything for me. Sometimes it would be nice to just write something like that and not qualify what it is you mean. 'Spellbound' is the debut single from Scotland’s Little Redde and I think I’ve heard enough. It’s a clunky song, a melancholic rock-pop song that for some reason brings memories of the Orange Organics from Pugwall.

The production is perhaps the deciding factor, with the drums being tucked well beneath the over-prominent riffs and uninspiring vocals. It’s just a little drab and poorly put together. That’s what I mean when I say it doesn’t do anything for me. It’s a fairly weak strain of lethargic fem-rock that doesn’t really go anywhere, it’s not aggressive or inspiring. B-side ‘Mr Hamilton’ is a lilting Beatles-esque tale that suffers from the same production issues, namely that it sounds like it was recorded in a dustbin. Sorry, this one’s not for me.
