"Parallel World" is the debut album from Speakerpeople, a London-based triumvirate featuring the production of Andy Paterson and Simon Newman and the voice of Julian Asher Dean.
This is solid, commercial, vocal-heavy dance and it is too safe to be attention-grabbing and to be honest, is really not this reviewer's cup of tea. That said, the vocals are quite soulful and the well-produced music errs on the side of mellow dance so it is reasonably palatable. The problem is that it just is not exciting or innovative enough to make me care.
Fans of this kind of music should check it out.
