With a relentless rhythm and Fall-esque repetitive riff running throughout, 'We're the Support Band' is magnificently - and fittingly - underproduced, the vocals half sung, half-shouted and just the right side of atonal and off-key.
It's an amusing, tongue-in-cheek swipe at all of the terrible, amateurish, derivative, third-rate support acts you've ever heard. It's something anyone who's been to even just a handful of gigs can identify with, and is delivered in a staunchly uncommercial, post-punk style that old gits like me really appreciate.
