Review: 'QUICKSILVER'
'Live At Sweet Watch / Live at the Field Stone'

-  Label: 'Voiceprint Records'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Catalogue No: 'VP538CD/ VP546CD'

Our Rating:
Gary Duncan was the founder member of San Francisco's Quicksilver Messenger Service back in the 60s and is milking this fact for all it's worth.

Flogging a dead horse would probably be more accurate.

These two albums of tortuously extended jazzy blues jams by Duncan and his band are both pretentious and deadening.

Worryingly, there are probably vaults full of this kind of stuff .

Died in the wool hippies may find some redeeming qualities here but they just made me thankful for punk-rock.
