The PR sheet tells me that Live Like Lions make electronic-drenched pop and pun that they'll be making a roar with this, their debut single. It's accompanied by gushing press comments, one of which froths about how their sound is comparable to MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Friednly Fires and Delphics. As if that's any kind of recommendation.
In actual fact, they've reinvented a hybrid of Yazoo, Eurythmics and Howard Jones, added early Spandau Ballet's scarves, then upped the tempo and beefed up the beat. What's the point? Forget landfill indie: the landscape of contemporary music is an 80s styled electro-disco desert, and this is just one more grain of sand.
