Review: 'Kiria'
'Let Me In'

-  Label: 'Coochie Coo Records'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '28th March 2011'

Our Rating:
Not what I had expected. Not what I had expected at all. The cover to 'Let Me In' shows a trashy blonde dressed in a low-cut shiny pink latex outfit with matching candy-pink lipstick. She has a shiny plastic pistol in each hand. Ah, that's Kiria, then. You wouldn't want to let her in because you know she's only turned up to make a scene, or worse. But then, you'd not want her coming round and knocking on your door either. Snog, marry, avoid? Yeah, 100% of those surveyed said definitely avoid.

Ok, so the cover's prejudiced / prepared me for some bloody awful trashy pop with 'punk' attitude. I'm expecting Kiria to be the new Ke$ha or something. How wrong can a guy be? Turns out she's angling to be the new Shampoo, and in the event, she's the new Hepburn. With violins. And monkeys. And backing vocals from Paul Kaye (aka Dennis Pennis) on the B-side. Yes, really.
