In musical circles, 'We Are' seems to be very much in vogue right now, to the extent that it's in danger of becoming the new definite article. French electro trio We Are Enfant terrible are one of the latest acts to join the self-pronouncement party and offer up what they pitch as 'an infectious slice of 8-bit electro-pop with a dark hypnotic undercurrent'.
I was fully expecting the 'Enfant' to be superfluous, but in the event, 'Filthy Love' is far from terrible, with a thumping, solid bassline that really drives it along nicely and a seductive, breathy vocal that, in combination, are enough to bring on a sweat.
