Ulver may have started out as pioneers of the Norwegian black metal scene, but their sound has clearly evolved through the years. On the strength of this, the first single from their forthcoming album, like axolotl shedding their gills, so Ulver have shed their balls. 'February MMX' is a piece of lightweight electro-pop disguised as rock. In truth, it's about as hard as A-Ha, only without the hooks. Piss-weak and lamentably lame.
