Review: 'WALDNER'
'Found & Lost'

-  Genre: 'Folk' -  Release Date: 'May 2011'

Our Rating:
Making his mark on the folk rock scene is Waldner, whose brand new album 'Found & Lost' combines hypnotic rhythms and inflections of pop, progressive and psychedelic sounds into the record.

With a mix of influences from both North America and England including The Beatles and The Decemberists, 'Found & Lost' takes the listener on a musical road trip of the mind, making them think of past loves and lack of fulfilment in their everyday life - sometimes even combining the two such as in '˜Undone'
.
An unexpected gem, Waldner uses a great mix of slow tempo songs such as 'Heaven Only Knows' and mixes them effortlessly with faster paced songs such as 'Going Up Against Goliath.' His voice captivates the listener and is the perfect accompaniment to a summer's evening.

Although some tracks are stronger than others, there are no fillers and each song stands out individually with no two songs sounding the same. Each has its own different story. 'Found & Lost' by Waldner is a solid record, and we hope to hear much more of him in the future.
