Darwen foursome INDIA MILL are presumably named after the Lancashire town's finest Industrial Revolution-era building (More specifically, it's the mill chimney's ornamental brickwork and sheer size that marks the original home of India-rubber out as classic Fred Dibnah territory).
These rock n'roll traditionalists are purveyors of a raw, classic, slightly progressive sound that both does and doesn't act as a dead giveaway as to the low-key Lancashire outfit's (relatively) hidden location.
A-side 'Morning Song' sounds concerned with the break of dawn as seen following a rather heavy night on the tiles without sleep, whilst support track 'It Don't Please Me' frags the dear life out of Marc Bolan's '20th Century Boy' and 'Born To Be Wild' in one sweeping act of wanton vandalism.

Final offering 'Green Lane' is dark and uninspired destruction without the luxury of such specific influences. Though things get quite space-y towards the end of the EP, there's no way I'd have this lot rehearsing in my garage.
