Review: 'SLOW READERS CLUB'
'Sirens'

-  Label: 'Via iTunes'
-  Genre: 'Punk/New Wave' -  Release Date: '31.10.11.'

Our Rating:
On getting this one track single in the post I was intrigued by the cool cover art. It's op-art photography and just looks good in its' own right. Thankfully the song sounds almost as good sounding like a modernised take on Orange juice style Postcard label post punk.

I'd started off wondering if they were referring to sirens in the female sense or the police siren sense but it is the female sense being a song about young lovers splitting apart at an airport. The song makes me want to hear more of what they dio which is a good sign. The single is produced by Kipper who is apparently a Grammy and Emmy award winning producer who I have never heard of, but who does a very good job in getting a widescreen sound for The Slow Readers Club. I hope we will be hearing more of them in the near future.
