I’m guessing that ‘Cleandenim’ isn’t the name on Patrick’s birth certificate. I’m also guessing that Patrick’s not a fan of The View. Me, I’m no fan of The View either. Teen wusses don’t know the meaning of rebellion. Hell, they don’t know they’re born. Still, Patrick probably wouldn’t approve of my washing regime. My jeans are just bedding in nicely after about a week.
That’s ok: Patrick’s latest single may be better than anything by The View, but that’s not really saying much, and I’m no fan of his busy piano-driven indie. Neatly produced and intelligently written as it is, there’s just something rather irritating about his style. The glammy boogie of ‘Something More than Love’ feels particularly contrived, and for that reason, I’m just not digging his scene.
