Review: 'NO CEREMONY'
'HURTLOVE / WEAREME (10" vinyl/ download)'

-  Label: 'Self-released'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: 'March 2012'

Our Rating:
Not much I can say about this one, as the band seems to shroud itself in mystery. There are no details of band members, the website only shows a video single, some music clips and links to download track or buy vinyl. Even the video shows no images of any band members. The only thing they tell us is that they are Manchester based. This lack of information is a pity, as it prevents anyone writing anything at length about them.

What is certain, however, is that the two tracks here are aimed straight at the dancefloor. The opener 'HurtLove' (sic) is based round a piano/keyboard melody with electrobeat drums, bass and a slightly distorted vocal, courtesy of the vocorder. Repetitive and insistent, this is one that will get the feet tapping in almost no time at all.

The other track ‘WeAreMe’ is more of the same, slower building, but firmly within the electropop genre. With a repetitive vocal of something like “Shut Up” this is another one that will be a favourite among dance and electrobeat fans alike.Certainly worth a listen for the enigma factor if nothing else.
