Our Rating:
Yes it's time for some Flamenco sleaze glam rock. Yes, yes we get down dirty and totally sleazy with this album which opens with a single strummed spanish guitar lulling us into a false sense of security before the band crash out of the speakers like a gypsy Brides of Destruction singing about living down with the Gypsies.

If you haven't got your bandanna on yet you'd better start tying it on for Senor mangi Acqui: a real sleazy gutter rocker about having nothing that has a sort of LA Guns on mescal feel to it.

The third track could be a real car crash or a nightmare as they take on Living La Vida Loca (yes yes that one)but they turn it around, keep some of the spanish guitar feel but also amp the hell out of it so that you are in a hell hole bar in the middle of Spain trying to out drink the regulars under the table and prove you are OK as this lot swig from bottles and nail this tune to your ears.

Un Hombre Sin Rostro brings in a bot of a Jetboy influence and almost sounds like a bit of a theme tune. Sangria De Las Roses gets a bit overblown for my tastes, but if you like your sleaze rock on the glam side than you'll probably love it.

Una Para Todo Es Bandido is a marvellous western gunfight outside the sort of bar they go to in From Dusk Till Dawn. Son Illusiones has great Banshee-like backing vocals that sounded great howling out of the speakers at me.

Switchbalde Kiss Comes Close has a tremendous trumpet opening to a knife fight song that has blood streaking all over it. Almost as much as the guitars rumble and behave like the two opposing sides in the fight.

They then amp the mother up for the closing two tunes that just sound like they are having a rampage through the streets, breaking glasses and hearts as they sing the ballad of a Broken Angel and 1 2 3 4 Kiss Me: the latter of which has a great shout along chorus of Wild Beautiful and Damned and I'm sure they are.

They sound like they'd be a hell of a good live band too. This is a decent sleazy metal album although it could have been a bit more Gypsy.
