'Equilibrium'

-  Album: 'Equilibrium' -  Label: 'Brutal Elite Records'
-  Genre: 'Thrash Metal' -  Release Date: '20th February 2012'-  Catalogue No: 'BER003CD'

Our Rating:
Credit where it’s due, this Manchester-based metal quartet don’t hold back and don’t pander to the current vogue for melodic interludes between the heavy sections. ‘Equilibrium’ is a relentless heavy album that hits with a pulverizing force. They don’t piss about with fretwanky solos or other such superfluous decorations, either. Just heads down, thumping power chords all the way, and all at a breakneck speed.

The guitars do deliver melody on occasion, though, imbuing the mid-section of ‘The Process of Being’ with an emotive element – it’s soon swept away in a battery of pummelling percussion and solid chugga-chug guitar riffage, all topped with howling guttural vocals.

The sonic storm rages unabated for the duration of the album right to the very last explosive thrash.
