Review: 'NOURALLAH, SALIM'
'UNSTOPPABLE'

-  Label: 'TAPETE'
-  Genre: 'Alt/Country' -  Release Date: '26the March 2012'

Our Rating:
Taken from the ‘Hit Parade’ album due out end of March, SALIM NOURALLAH has got together luminaries from bands such as The Polyphonic Spree, Apples In Stereo and Buttercup to record this music.

I can’t guarantee it’s a single (it certainly is a one track CD) but it would make a good one if it were. 'Unstoppable' is a smooth slice of mango to the pithy, slightly dry orange that passes for pop music at this moment in time. It’s not Americana but it sounds American, call it country rock. It’s coming out of Austin at any rate and has a whiff of class about it, twangy pedal steel guitar, some petrol and an unstoppably infectious chorus. “Who you gonna be when your all grown up?”

The backing vocals really help the track stay steady in the lulls and it’s also only fair to say everything is in it’s rightful place and old fashioned care and attention has been taken in the recording and production of this track. Fans of Chuck Prophet and the bands already mentioned should be looking to check the album out and it would be disappointing if there were not more gems like this on it.
