These guys put the heavy into heavy metal, although this frenetically-paced and megalithically monstrous six-tracker is more post-industrial metalcore than anything. It’s a relentless tumult of jet-engine guitars, thunderous bass tones, pounding percussion and howling vocals. Violently stormy, ferociously angry and impenetrably dense, ‘Obolous’ combines blistering intensity with brutal sonic /force.
