The PR guff claims that this Sheffield band of "melodic Punksters" have raised the bar with this EP. Well if that's the case, the bar must have been lying on the floor. As this band sound like they have raided their elder brothers and sisters collection for the most Rad cd's they could find and only managed to get some Blink 182, Sum 41, Bouncing Souls and Green Day CDS and having played them and thought they had found the holy grail. They then put their heads together to work out how to make this "old Punk" sound contemporary and decided that the vocals just had to be autotuned to death and then they were assured of massive hits. Hurrah!
Snag is, all I hear is landfill plastic punk that has no idea of what real punk is or was. The opener Heart Attack is one of the poorest songs I've heard with that title. They really should have listened to The Heart Attacks excellent song Heart Attack to learn how a song with that title ought to sound, then if they couldn't better it just covered it or not bothered.

The longer the Ep goes on the more I seem to tune it out so that I can barely tell or even notice when one song becomes the next song. This is the modern equivalent of Wallpaper "punk."
This EP is for people who find Green Day and Blink 182 a bit threatening and want something a bit wussier and more autotuned instead.
