Pollens are highly entertaining six piece (3 male/3 female) band from Seattle, Washington who hit the ground running (and dancing) with this joyful four minute blast of pure pop from their debut Brighten & Break album.
Their sound is built around a "choral trance" from the female voices supported by African style drum beats and synth (plus a guest spot from Morgan Henderson of Fleet Foxes).
With a similar polyrhythmic feel to the 'Folk-Step' of UK's Alt-J and the avant pop of Brooklyn's Dirty Projectors Helping Hand is an art school dance floor filler if ever I heard one.
