Review: 'KING AND COUNTRY'
'Mountains (EP)'

-  Label: 'Self-released'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '6th May 2013'

Our Rating:
Hailing from the same town as Bullet For My Valentine (Bridgend) and attaching themselves to Story of The Year and Lower Than Atlantis, KING AN COUNTRY are defiantly alt-rock.

They say Radio One are playing it which means it’s possibly more mainstream pop, targeted at the youth demographic. Let’s call it harmonic rock then. One For The Weekend.

Personally I would say ten for a whole weekend. This opening track is a good thrash about and full of energy. Perhaps I have already heard it on Radio One?: “On my knees again/ will I ever stop this feeling?” It’s for the Friday night start the party demographic. The vocals do however, let the side down a bit.

Cherish What You Have is the Saturday night. OK, I suppose we have to see the girlfriends ballad demographic. Not Alone is the track I would want to hear played on Radio One. It has the right sound for radio and a strong melody to boot. Soldiers is probably the track they put on to finish out the EP. A live favourite? They sound like a pretty tight band, so if you enjoy your rock gigs go and see them and make your own mind up.
